I SURRENDER

I am in Dhaka. I made it. I traveled to the other side of the world for God. He lead me here, and I followed. I surrendered. The big step is done. At least, this is what I thought. I already made the big sacrifice, and the rest will just be easy. Now I just have to figure out when God will send me home.

In the week that I have been here, God has already been challenging me. Have I truly surrendered? Matthew 10:37-39 says, "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." What am I putting before Him? Am I trusting God's plan completely, or am I making plans of my own? God intends life for me, so why do I insist on running away from His plan in search for my own life? God gives us life. We don't have to search for it. All we have to do is focus on Him.

I came to Bangladesh with a compromise in mind. I was set in my ideas. I know God called me back here, so I will go. I don't want to ignore God completely, BUT I will only follow His plan until I miss my family too much. Then I will go home and find a place to fit in there. In one week, God has exposed me to my own innocent plan. My intentions are to live completely for Him. I will follow Him, and trust that He has life of the purest form in mind for me. I surrender!
